Morris O. Jacobson, age 90, of Moorhead, MN, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, in Ecumen Evergreens of Moorhead.
Morris, the son of Soren and Anna (Larson) Jacobson, was born March 1, 1922, in Ulen, MN, where he grew up and received his education. He graduated from high school in Ulen in 1940. As a young man, he farmed the family farm and later worked for the railroad. In his youth, Morris was an outstanding baseball player.
On June 14, 1969, Morris married Donna Mae Rogne. They made their home in Moorhead. Morris continued to work for the Burlington Northern Railroad, until he retired.
Morris is survived by a sister, Gladys (Vernon) Kirkeby of Moorhead, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna, who died April 13, 2012; his parents; six brothers, Henry, Archie, Maynard, Johan, Sander, and Joseph Jacobson; and four sisters, Lila Burres, Myrtle Doran, Adeline Eide, and Alice Moe.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at 11 AM, Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Visitation: Monday, 5 PM to 7 PM, Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Moorhead.
