Myrtle A. Lovly, 101, formerly of Moorhead, MN, died Sunday, April 20, 2008 in East Grand Forks, MN.
Myrtle Alice Schjeldahl, daughter of Henry and Andrene (Nyhus) Schcjeldahl, was born March 8, 1907, Steele County, ND. She was baptized at Little Forks, Lutheran Church. The family moved to the Mayville, ND area, where Myrtle grew up and received her education. She was confirmed at Mayville Lutheran Church.
Myrtle was married to Lawrence Knutson and later to Bernhard Lovly. Bernhard and Myrtle farmed near Finley, ND, and later moved to Moorhead, MN. They were members of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, where Myrtle was active in the quilting group. Bernhard died in 1970. After his death, she continued to live in Moorhead, until just a few days prior to her 100th birthday, when she moved to Good Samaritan Heritage Grove, East Grand Forks.
Myrtle is survived by two daughters, Lorraine Finley, Tacoma, WA, and Lorna Aamold, Grand Forks, ND; a son, Myron (Joann) Knutson, Butte, Montana; 23 grandchildren; and many great and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Leonard; a daughter, Marian Pelowski; a grandson, Gary Pelowski; and six brothers and sisters, Edgar Schjeldahl, Gladys Brovold, Norris Schjeldahl, Thelma Sonstegaard, Orville Schjeldahl, and Hazel Gotteberg.
Visitation: One hour prior to the funeral, at the church

Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
