Nancy Kuehl

Nancy K. Kuehl, 60, Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at her residence. 

Nancy Kay Kuehl was born June 23, 1963, in Moorhead, MN, to Marvin and Beverly (Rosenfeldt) Kuehl.  At the age of 3, Nancy and her family moved to Colorado Springs, CO. 

Nancy's educational journey was marked by outstanding achievements. In junior high, she was inducted into the National Honors Society.  In high school, Nancy graduated in the top 5 of her class of 600 from Widefield High School in Colorado Springs in 1981.  She went on to earn a full academic scholarship to the University of Denver, where she made the Dean’s List in 1982 and 1983. There, she pursued a double major in Mass Communications and Anthropology. Her thirst for knowledge led her to further academic success as she obtained a master’s degree from Regis University in Denver, CO, specializing in International Business.

After college, Nancy delved into the world of editing for local telecom companies before eventually becoming the Executive Editor for the American Academy of Physician's during her time in Kansas City, KS. In pursuit of being closer to her parents, she relocated to Moorhead in 2015 where she dedicated her skills to the Fargo Forum.

Outside of work, Nancy had a profound love for cats, along with any kind of book she came across.   She also enjoyed movies, and theater productions. Her affection for nature drew her especially to the mountains of Colorado, as she fondly recalled the days growing up in Colorado.  Nancy's passion for singing shone through as she participated in various choirs throughout her life.   A wonderful imagination all through her life, Nancy always dreamed of writing her own novel for other book enthusiasts. 

She is survived by her parents, Marvin and Beverly Kuehl of Moorhead; one brother, David Kuehl of Seattle, WA.

A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held Friday, March 15, 2024, at 2pm in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service of Moorhead.  A gathering of family and friends will be one hour prior.
