Neal, age 57 of Moorhead, died in his home on Friday, November 2.
Thesecond son of LaVerne (Myer) and Glenn Philbrick, Neal was also a son of Moorhead as he lived in the city which he loved throughout his lifetime.
After graduating from Moorhead Senior High, he studied finance and accounting at Minnesota State University Moorhead.
A supporter of Sierra Club and Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Neal enjoyed camping, canoeing in the Boundary Waters, serving his church in many ways such as volunteering for missions (including a favorite trip to Mexico), reading, cooking and spending time with friends.
He is survived by brother Bradley and sister-in-law Jane of Noblesville, Indiana; nephew Andrew and niece-in-law Cassie of Cincinnati, Ohio; and brother Dean and sister-in-law Hope of Atlanta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents and a newborn brother Brian.
Gathering of Friends: Thursday, November 8, 2012, from 5 - 7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Memorial Service: Friday, November 9, 2012, at 2 PM, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
