Norma Dronen

Norma Harriet Fuglem, the daughter of Gerhard and Severine (Lunde) Fuglem, was born June 10, 1913, on the family farm near Aneta, ND. She grew up in the Aneta area, where she received her education. She was baptized and confirmed at West Union Lutheran Church, rural Northwood, ND.

On May 10, 1941, Norma married Arthur E. Dronen, at Crookston, MN. They made their home in the Sharon, ND, area, where they farmed. In 1968, they retired from farming, and moved to Moorhead, MN, where Norma worked for Plunkett's Furniture.

After her husband's death in January of 1983, Norma continued to live in Moorhead. In November of 2002, Norma became a resident of Golden Living Center in Moorhead. Norma died Monday, March 10, 2008, at Golden Living Center, at the age of 94.

In addition to her husband, Arthur, she was preceded in death by two sons, Gene and Sherman; her parents; a sister, Cora Moe; and three brothers, Gene, Harris, and an infant, who died at birth.

Norma is survived by her son, Norman, Buxton, ND; three daughters, Narleen (Bill) Engel, Sheridan, Wyoming, Dorothy (Gerald) Skalicky, Moorhead, and Annette (Dean) Tronson, Buxton; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
