Norma Paasch

Norma H. Nerdahlen, the daughter of Nils and Helga (Klev) Nerdahlen, was born on Nov. 25, 1917, at Portland, ND, where she grew up and received her education. Norma graduated from Portland High School in 1935. She attended Mayville (ND) Teacher's College and Interstate Business College, in Fargo, ND, after which, she worked at Midwest Insurance Company.
On January 12, 1944, Norma was united in marriage to William "Bill" John Frederick Paasch, at Moorhead, MN. Following their marriage, they lived in Portland for a short period of time and then in Moorhead. At the time of her death, she was a resident of Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead.
Norma was proud of her Norwegian heritage, and visited Norway four times. She continued to correspond with her Norwegian relatives, and she was a member of the Sons of Norway. She also was involved in Campfire Girls. Norma enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends. She was a very active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. In addition to being in the womens circle and ladies aide, she served as the church treasurer for a number of years.
Norma H Paasch died at a hospital in Fargo on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, who died on May 30, 1990, her parents, 5 sisters and 3 brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Naomi H. Paasch, Moorhead; three grandchildren, Alicia (Jeremy) Overbeck, John Langdahl and Nicole Langdahl, all of Moorhead; one great-grandson, Joseph Overbeck, Moorhead; and her former son-in-law, Bob Langdahl, Moorhead.
