Norman E. Johnson

Norman E. Johnson, 86, formerly of West Fargo, ND, died Thursday, February 1, 2018, at home in Eagan, MN, under the care of Allina Hospice.

Norman Eldred Johnson, the son of Walter and Myrtle (Earley) Johnson, was born on July 28, 1931, in Watford City, ND. He graduated from Barnesville (MN) High School in 1950. He served in Korea with the United States Army during the Korean War.

On July 16, 1955, Norman was united in marriage to Beverly A. Kilde, in Fargo, ND. They eventually made their home in West Fargo. Norman worked in construction in Fargo, as an auto mechanic in Fergus Falls, MN, Rothsay, MN and Bottineau, ND, before making a career as a truck driver for Kavlie Trucking, Rolette, ND, Winger Cheese, Towner, ND, and TBI, Fargo.

Norman is survived by daughters, Colleen (Jonathan) Pudwill, Eagan, MN, and Charlene (Michael) Kreider, Jefferson, GA; two brothers, Norris (Darlene), Pelican Rapids, MN, and Milton (Joanne) Johnson, New Brighton, MN; one sister, Donene (Marlen) Malingen, Fergus Falls; grandchildren, David (Natali), Andrew (Lana) and James Pudwill, Alicia Shoemake, and Derek (Catalina) Kreider; and great-grandchildren, Alexander, Lenka and Alana Pudwill, Asher and Avery Shoemake, and Elin, Atticus and Denton Kreider. He was preceded in death by his wife; a daughter, Donita; and his parents.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 6, 2018, from 5 - 7 PM at Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at 11 AM, at Bethel Evangelical Free Church, Fargo.

Burial will follow at the Barnesville City Cemetery.
