Ole Henry Leiseth, 91, Fargo, ND, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2011, in Sanford Health Palliative Care, Fargo, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Fargo on January 8, 1920, the son of Olaus and Hilda (Olson) Leiseth. He was raised on a farm near Rustad, MN, where he married Beatrice Johnson on September 15, 1940. They raised four children while farming near Rustad, Hawley and Wolverton MN. They also farmed near Walcott, Kindred, and Fullerton, ND.
Ole and Bea traveled extensively, including special trips to Australia, New Zealand and Scandinavia. They spent many warm winters in Mesa, AZ. He enjoyed building, fixing and making anything connected with the farming operation. Golfing and their lake cabin were enjoyed with family and friends.
Ole is survived by Beatrice, his wife of 70 years; sons, Wallace (Dennis), Mesa, and Melvin (Sharon), Houston, TX; daughters, Etta (Robert) Horner, Detroit Lakes, MN, and Carolee Leiseth, Moorhead; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Ole is also survived by his brothers, Alfred, Danbury, TX, and Einar, Moorhead; sisters, Lilly Aldrich, Helen Krabbenhoft, and Louise Schmidt, all of Moorhead; as well as many nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Wednesday, from 4 PM to 8 PM with a prayer service at 5 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
FUNERAL: Thursday, March 10, 2011, at 11 AM in Hoff Lutheran Church, Rustad.
INTERMENT: Moorhead Memorial Gardens, Hwy 75 S, Moorhead.
