Olga P. Allen, age 93, formerly of Fargo, ND, died on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at Lutheran Memorial Home, Twin Valley, MN.
Olga is survived by three nephews, Charles Ross, Fargo, Michael (Vicky) Ross, Hawley, MN, and David (Norma) Sliper, Detroit Lakes, MN; and six great-nieces and nephews.
Olga P. Sliper, daughter of Karl and Lena (Dukleth) Sliper was born March 21, 1910, in Hillsboro, ND. She attended school at Norway Country School and then graduated from high school in Mayville, ND. Olga attended Mayville State Teachers College after which she taught school in Bowman, ND, Streeter, ND, and Seattle, WA. She then attended the University of Minnesota and received a Library Degree. Olga returned to Seattle and worked in a school library.
In 1956 she married Edwin T. Allen and they lived in Buffalo, NY, for twelve years. After his death in 1968, Olga moved to Yakima, WA. She came to Fargo in 1984 where she lived until becoming a resident of Lutheran Memorial Home. Besides being a world-traveler Olga enjoyed reading, knitting, and memberships in many professional organizations.
