Olive W. Nelson, 91, Moorhead, MN, went home to her beloved Lord, Saturday, November 18, 2006, in MeritCare Palliative Care Unit, Fargo, ND.
Olive Wilhemina Nelson was born August 6, 1915, to William and Esther (Larson) Nelson, in Moorhead. Olive graduated from Moorhead High School and spent her entire life in Moorhead. A life-long employee of the S.S. Kresge Company/Kmart Corporation, Olive worked as a bookkeeper and was honored for her forty-two years of faithful service to the company when she retired in 1978.
Olive will be remembered most for her sweet spirit, kind heart, generosity, and devotion to her Lord. She was a dedicated member of the Moorhead Evangelical Free Church, having served for decades as Sunday school teacher and superintendent, deaconess, treasurer, and on various committees.
Olive is survived by her sister, Vendla Blakeway, Moorhead; two nieces, Barbara Jellison and Beverly (Greg) Marcy, Fargo; and two grandnephews, David and John Streifel, Fargo. She was preceded in death by a sister, Estelle Nelson.
Visitation: Monday, November 27, 2006; one hour before the funeral.
Funeral: Monday, November 27, 2006, at 1 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
