Patricia Ione Folken was born March 4, 1935, to Waldemar and Ione (Rugroden) Folken, in Elbow Lake, MN, where she grew up and received her education.
On January 18, 1955, Pat married Roger F. Hagen, in Elbow Lake and they made their home in St. Paul, MN, before moving to Moorhead, MN, in 1967. Pat worked for 35 years for the Moorhead State University Food Service Department. She retired in 2005 due to illness.
Pat died Sunday, November 27, 2005, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND, at the age of seventy.
Pat enjoyed sewing, cross-stitching, and quilting. She could spend hours reading and eating chocolate. Pat was a very social person, who loved to entertain family and friends by cooking and telling stories. She also liked to dance.
Pat is survived by two sons, Michael (Lisa) Hagen, West DesMoines, IA, and Kim Hagen, Perley, MN; four daughters, Vicki (Loren) Radtke, Bemidji, MN, Peggy (Kirk) Guin, Moorhead, Robin Hagen, Moorhead, and Susan Hagen, Hopkins, MN; two brothers, Kenwood Folken, Fergus Falls, MN, Leslie "Butch" (Linda) Folken, Ashby, MN; two sisters, Sandra (Larry) McNamara, Phoenix, AZ, and Gail (Larry) Stephens, Elbow Lake; 12 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and a special aunt and uncle, Alyce and Bud.
Visitation: Wednesday from 6 - 8 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Funeral Service: Thursday (December 1, 2005) at 2 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead
Inurnment: Prairie Home Cemetery, Moorhead
