Pearl MacLeod, age 88, Moorhead, MN, died at Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead, on Friday, March 10, 2006.
Pearl Madeline Gulbransen was born at Hutchinson, MN, on October 2, 1917. She grew up and received her education in Hutchinson, where she graduated from high school. As a young lady she moved to California, where she was married on June 17, 1944, to Everett R. MacLeod.
Following their marriage, they lived in Florida, New Bedford, MA, and Hutchinson. In 1956, they made their home in Dilworth, MN, and in 1960, they moved to Moorhead. Pearl was an Avon sales representative for many years. She was also an active volunteer, both in her community and in her church. Her husband, Everett, died on July 18, 1981.
After his death, Pearl lived in Hutchinson for about a year, and then returned to Moorhead, where she had lived since. She had been a resident of Eventide The Fairmont for a number of years, and since 1998, a resident of Eventide Lutheran Home.
Pearl is survived by her daughter, Toni (Wilfred) Lindquist, Aurora, CO; two sons, Kent (Cindy) MacLeod, Moorhead, and Peter MacLeod, Orange Park, FL; five grandchildren, Travis, Jamie and Craig MacLeod, Christine McMillin and Christopher Lindquist; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Clarice and Dorothy; and a brother, Ray.
