Phoebe R. Lipelt was born July 1, 1927, in Elgin, ND, to Ralph and Emma (Werre) Lipelt. She married Norman E. Erickson on October 5, 1958, in Grand Forks, ND.
They made their home in Moorhead, MN, where Phoebe worked as a bookkeeper in a number of businesses. Most recently, she worked as a clerk for Clay County. She retired in 1989. Norman died August 2, 2001, and she continued to make her home in Moorhead.
Phoebe died Tuesday, November 4, 2014, in Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead, at eighty-seven years of age.
She is survived by her son, Keith (Tammy) Erickson, Fargo, ND; daughter, Nanette (Prashant) Rayapati, Monticello, IL; five grandchildren, Katrina (Pete) Leo, Phillip Erickson, Janna Erickson, Samuel Erickson, and Jake Rayapati; sisters, Norma "Mickey" Magelky, Arlene Nissen, Cathyrn Pearson, and Bonnie (Lee) Jacobson; and brother, Ralph (Judy) Lipelt.
In addition to her husband, Phoebe was preceded in death by a brother, Grant; and a sister, Marion Shaw.
Visitation will begin at 1 PM, followed by a funeral at 2 PM, Saturday, November 8, 2014, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Burial will take place in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
