Phyllis A. Germundson, Moorhead, MN, died February 29, 2008, in Golden Living Center, Moorhead, at the age of 69.
Phyllis Alma Germundson, known as "Toots", was born at Hope, ND, on May 5, 1938, the daughter of Obert and Alma (Scharsky) Germundson. She grew up and received her education in Hope, where she graduated from high school in 1956. She then attended Interstate Business College in Fargo, ND.
As a young lady, Toots worked in Hope, and in 1961 moved to Oregon and later California. In about 1974, she returned to Page, ND, where she worked in a bank. She moved to the Fargo-Moorhead area, in 1980, where she was a bookkeeper for various businesses including Held Beef, West Fargo, ND, Steamatic of Fargo-Moorhead, and Creative Kitchen, Fargo.
Toots was a member of the Moorhead VFW Auxiliary and Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Moorhead, where she was active in LWML. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gene Germundson; three infant sisters, and her very special friend, Nels Dalbol.
Phyllis is survived by four sisters, Lois (Mayo) Swenson, Sheyenne, ND, Shirley Hoffman, Sun City, AZ, Carol (Andy) Berger, Rosemount, MN, and Corrine "Nan" Berg, New York Mills, MN; four brothers, Lyle "Dick" Germundson, Williston, ND, Jack (Joyce) Germundson, Mayville, ND, Warren "Bud" (Geraldine) Germundson, Minot, ND, and Maynard (Karen) Germundson, Minot; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service: Saturday, March 8, 2008, at 2 PM in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1000 14th Street S, Moorhead.
