Reinhold "Reinie" Eisenbeis, the son of Adolph and Mary (Schwartzwalter) Eisenbeis, was born November 16, 1919, on a farm near Streeter, ND, where he grew up and received his education. He also attended Bottineau (ND) College of Forestry. On November 21, 1946, he was united in marriage to Ruth Seher, in Jamestown, ND.
Following their marriage, Reinie and Ruth lived in Streeter for five years. In 1951, the family moved to the Lockhart, MN, area where they farmed for 30 years. He retired in 1989. In 1981, they purchased a home in Moorhead, MN, where they resided during the winter and they spent their summers in the Lockhart area. Reinie was a member of First Lutheran Church of Lockhart, the board of Coachmen Condo in Moorhead, and various farm organizations. He was in partnership with Arvid Benson in several different ventures in a number of states.
Reinie died Easter Sunday, March 27, 2005, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND, at the age of 85. He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin sister, Martha Taylor; and two sisters-in-law, Annie and Janice Eisenbeis.
Reinie is survived by his wife, Ruth, Moorhead; a daughter, Roxie Benson of Fargo and Mike Benson; two grandsons, Brian (Jenni Stock) Benson and Jason (Nicole Lomsdal) Benson, both Moorhead; three brothers, Wesley Eisenbeis, Bismarck, ND, Harry (Arlene) Eisenbeis, Hillsboro, ND, and Bob Eisenbeis, Lincoln, CA; and four sisters, Ann (Tony) Schaffner, Sacramento, CA, Hulda (Art) Berg, Lodi, CA, Amy (Darrel) Moser, Fargo, and Onie (Jim) Nenow, Sacramento.
