Rev. Paul O. Needham

Rev. Paul Needham, 85, of Moorhead, MN, died Wednesday, May 16, 2018, in Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead.

Paul, son of David and Esther (Taplin), was born Oct. 15, 1932, in River Falls, WI. His father was a pastor, and Paul grew up in various towns in Michigan and Wisconsin. He graduated from St. Paul Bible Institute in 1955.

On April 7, 1962, Paul was united in marriage to Janet Carter. They served churches in Iowa, Wisconsin and North Dakota. In 1982, they moved to Grand Forks, and in 1997, to the Fargo-Moorhead area.

Paul's faith in Jesus was central to his life. He loved God's word and the songs and hymns of the church. He was also a poet and a songwriter.

Paul is survived by his wife, Janet; children, Keith (Lyndi) Needham, Darla (David) Zorn, and Kevin (Cathie) Needham; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Needham; sisters, Ariel Ewing, Esther Lu (Tom) Wendlegast, and Ruth Michalek; 13 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his son, David, who died in 2015.
