Rev. Philip C. Miller, 46, Moorhead, MN, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, in Innovis Health in Fargo, ND.
Philip Craig Miller, the son of Calvin and Jean (Cachiaras) Miller was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, October 13, 1962. He grew up in Worthington, MN, and later Coon Rapids, MN, where he graduated from high school in 1981. He attended and graduated from Minnesota Bible College (Crossroads College), Rochester, MN, in 1985. Philip served as youth minister at New Brighton (MN) Christian Church and Coon Rapids (MN) Christian Church. Following mission work in Brazil, he studied medicine at Milligan College, Johnson City, TN, and University of Minnesota Duluth. He also studied at Bethel Seminary, St. Paul, MN.
Phil married Lori Knick in Springfield, Ohio, on July 16, 1988, and they lived in Duluth. In 1990, they moved to the Fargo-Moorhead area, where Phil was called to be pastor of Valley Christian Church, Moorhead.
Phil's love was serving Christ. He was active in ministerial associations in the FM area, and the Detroit Lakes (MN) minister's group. He served as president for the Minnesota State Convention of Christian Churches. He was actively involved in the ministry of Pine Haven Christian Assembly, Park Rapids, MN. Philip was a compassionate loving friend to everyone who knew him.
Phil is survived by his wife, Lori, Moorhead; two daughters, Kathryn and Jamie; two sons, Nathanael and Alexander, all Moorhead; his parents, Jean and Calvin Miller, Minneapolis; a sister, Connie (Brian) Pease, Roseville, MN; three brothers, Jim (Sherry) Miller, Hickory, IL, David (Jeanine) Miller, Coon Rapids, MN, and Brett (Jill) Miller, Little Canada, MN; and 15 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Stephen.
In lieu of flowers, an education fund has been established for Phil's children at Bremer Bank in Fargo.
Visitation: Wednesday, 5 PM to 8 PM,
with a prayer service at 7 PM,
Valley Christian Church, Moorhead.
Funeral service: Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, at 2 PM

Burial: Hillside Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
