Ricky A. Barker

Ricky A. Barker, 62, of Moorhead, MN, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 22, 2022, in his home, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Ricky Allen Barker was born August 6, 1960, the son of Vernon and Verna (Jegtvig) Barker.  He was raised in Moorhead and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1980.  He then worked as a bagger at the Moorhead Hornbacher’s before the spending the next 15 years bussing tables at Mexican Village in Fargo.  For the last ten years Ricky has resided at the Connections Adult Foster Care residence in Moorhead. 

Ricky enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and singing karaoke.

He is survived by his father, Vernon (Pat) Barker, Moorhead; brothers, Eugene (Roxanne) Barker, Fridley, MN, and Gary Barker, Fargo, ND; sister, Wanda Barker, Fargo; step-sister, Sarah (Brandon) Jacobson, Horace, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Verna.  

A private family service was held.
