Robert A. Chose

Robert Alden Chose was born February 28, 1926, in Ransom County, near Fort Ransom, ND, to Christian and Martha (Hoff) Chose. Robert was raised in that area and graduated from high school in Kathryn, ND.
Robert lived in Wahpeton, ND, for a time and then moved to Fargo, ND, where he worked for Service Chevrolet in the parts department. He was united in marriage to Ruth Fossen on June 10, 1951, at Nome, ND, and they continued to make their home in Fargo.
Robert and Ruth moved to Morris, MN, in 1956, where Robert was the parts manager at Hemming Chevrolet. They moved to Moorhead in 1964, where he worked in the parts department of Muscatell Chevrolet and later Selland Pontiac, both in Moorhead. Robert retired in 1988, but managed to keep busy part-time until full retirement in 2002.
Robert died Wednesday, August 19, 2009, in Triumph Hospital, Fargo, at eighty-three years of age.
Robert was always active in the churches where they lived. He sang in choirs for over fifty years. Fishing was one of his favorite pastimes but he also enjoyed a good game of pool or cards.
Robert is survived by his wife of over fifty-eight years, Ruth, Moorhead; two sons, Jonathan Chose, Avon, MN, and Kevin (Joan) Chose, Fargo; one daughter, Jennifer (Chuck) Christenson, Omaha, NE; and five grandchildren, Justin, Caleb and Brianna Chose, an
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.
The funeral for Robert will be Friday, August 21, 2009, at 1 PM, in The Lutheran Church of Christ the King, Moorhead.
Visitation will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
