Robert "Bob" A. Asleson

Robert "Bob" Allen Asleson was born May 25, 1940, in Ambrose, ND, to Adolph and Ruth (Berg) Asleson. The family moved to Fargo, ND, and Robert graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1958.

Bob married Sandra Larson and together they had three children, Brian, Sheila and Thomas. Bob later married Patricia Verville and they made their home in West Fargo, ND. Pat died unexpectedly January 24, 2002.

Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and his dear friend Marilyn, often having coffee with his brothers, attending birthday parties for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and never missed the birth of a child. He was an avid Twins fan, enjoyed cars, attending car shows with his sons, collecting Elvis memorabilia and eagle statues, and dining out at TNT in West Fargo, with his friends.

Bob passed away peacefully in his home Sunday, August 31, 2014, with Marilyn and his loving family by his side, at seventy-four years of age.

Bob is survived by his children, Brian (Rhonda), Fargo, Sheila (Dan) Wallgren, Brandon, SD, and Thomas (Lori), Moorhead; grandchildren, April Asleson, Boston, MA, Brianna Asleson, Fargo, Zack (Sadie) Asleson, Detroit Lakes, MN, Hailey Wallgren, Corpus Christi, TX, and Emma and Joshua Asleson, both Moorhead; great-grandchildren, Zoey and Olly Asleson, Detroit Lakes, and Beaux Allen Asleson, due in November; dear friend, Marilyn Beck, West Fargo; brothers, Dennis (Marlene), Fargo, Maynard, Mapleton, ND, and Duane, Minneapolis, MN; sister-in-law, Carolyn, California; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Bob was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lorraine; brothers, Don and Arden "Chuck"; and sister-in-law, Dianne.

Visitation for Bob will be Friday, September 5, 2014, from 5 - 7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

His funeral will be Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 10 AM, in First Lutheran Church, Fargo.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo
