Robert "Bob" Baukol

Robert "Bob" Baukol, 89, of Moorhead, MN, died Saturday, December 5, 2015, in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.
Robert Earl Baukol was born February 12, 1926, the son of Joe and Cora (Landsverk) Baukol, in Mahnomen County, rural Waubun, MN. He was raised there and graduated from Waubun High School. After graduation, he began farming on the family farm. On September 18, 1949, he was united in marriage to Betty Hamernik in Walworth Baptist Church in rural Ulen, MN. After their marriage they settled on the farm.
In 1955, they moved to Moorhead before establishing their home in Dilworth in 1957. Bob worked at Bridgeman's Creamery for twelve years before going to work at St. Ansgar Hospital in Moorhead in their maintenance department. In 1989, he retired and became the maintenance man at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Moorhead where he was a longtime member.
Bob was a great handy man and had a knack for fixing and building things. He and Betty loved to go riding in the country and enjoyed dancing. Most importantly, he was a very caring man who cared deeply for his family, whether it was his wife, children, grandchildren, mother or brother.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty; children, Joan (Dennis) Ness, John (Terry) Baukol, both Moorhead, Jim (Myrt) Baukol, Hillsboro, ND, Joyce (Randy) Sayler and Jeff (Karen) Baukol, both Moorhead; grandchildren, Joshua (Erica) Hall, Nathan (Jen) Baukol, Jeremy (Jenni) Baukol, Nikki (Jarrod) Williams, Desi (Cody) Muscha, Tom (Crystal) Baukol, Ben (Emily) Baukol, Joe, Christina, and Allison Saylor, Mandy (Matt) Mangel, Mike (Kristi) Baukol and Matt Baukol; great-grandchildren, Bobbieann, Emily, Abigail, Emma, Gunnar, Molly, Rylee, Reese, Ryan, and Kylie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David.
A Visitation for Bob will be one hour prior to the service.
His Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at 11:00 AM in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
