Robert "Bob" Blaukat

Robert "Bob" Blaukat, 74, of Moorhead, MN, died Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead.
Robert Karl Blaukat, the son of Karl and Laura (Keehn) Blaukat, was born August 9, 1938 in Moorhead. He was raised in Glyndon, MN, and graduated from Glyndon High School in 1956. After graduation he began working for Alloway Manufacturing in Fargo, ND.
On July 5, 1959, he was united in marriage to Patricia Dahlin in Fargo. They established their home in Glyndon, and he continued to work for Alloway until retiring in 2003. Over the years, Bob also helped farmers during sugar beet harvests. In 2009, he moved to the Fairmont in Moorhead and then to Eventide Lutheran Home in 2012.
Robert enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, doing yard work, and fishing.
He is survived by his sons, Jeff (Cathy) Blaukat, Mankato, MN, Marshall (Donna) Blaukat, Maple Grove, MN, and Robert (Lori) Blaukat, Jr., Breezy Point, MN; grandchildren, Conner and Kyra; stepgrandchildren, Kaylin, Ashley, and Kassie; sister, Joyce Gebhard, Moorhead; and nephew, Randall Gebhard, Moorhead.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law, George Gebhard.
Visitation: One hour prior to service.
Memorial Service: Friday, August 16, 2013, at 2:00 PM, in Bottolfson Chapel at Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead.
Interment: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Sabin, MN.
