Robert "Bob" Gravalin

Robert Leslie Gravalin was born February 20, 1941, to Edwin and Margaret (Seekings) Gravalin in Moorhead, MN where he grew up and graduated from high school.
On January 24, 1959, Bob married Donna R. Johnson in Moorhead, where they made their home. Bob attended Dakota Business College and he graduated with a degree in accounting.
They moved to Dickinson, ND, where Bob worked as an accountant for Schnell Livestock Company. In 1963, they returned to Moorhead where Bob worked as an accountant for Smith, Follet and Crowl and later for American Standard Plumbing and Heating.
Bob began working for P & H Supply as a plumbing and heating salesman. He then worked as a heating and ventilation estimator for Robert Gibb and Sons, retiring around 1996 due to illness.

Bob died Sunday, November 5, 2006, peacefully at home, at the age of sixty-five.
Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman, going to Canada fishing for thirty years with family and friends. He enjoyed watching sports, particularly Moorhead High School hockey and football. When he was able, he volunteered for the chain gang for football games. Bob was a past member of the Fargo Elks and the Moorhead Lions. He had been a member of the Moorhead Rod and Gun Club and had served as a past President. He also participated in trap shooting.
First of all, Bob was a dedicated family man. He loved to discuss politics with his father-in-law and spend time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed socializing with others and made new friends where ever he went
Bob is survived by his wife, Donna; five children, Tammy (Gerald) Gunkel, Sabin, MN, Dave (Nancy) Gravalin, Fargo, Teri (Bruce) Weigel, Moorhead, Vickie (Bill) Schmitt, Inver Grove Heights, MN, and Valerie (Steven) Hoff, Fargo; his mother, Margaret Madde
Visitation: Thursday from 5 - 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Funeral Service: Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, at 11 AM, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
