Robert "Bob" John Reardon was born June 27, 1932, to Robert and Esther (Gieseke) Reardon, in Medina, ND. Bob was raised in Twin Valley, MN, where he graduated from high school.
Bob served three years in the Army during the Korean War. It was during this time he learned to repair typewriters. After returning from the war, Bob worked for Typewriter Shop in St. Cloud, MN, where he repaired typewriters for schools and businesses in central Minnesota.
Bob married Jeanette Weiman on March 23, 1957, and together they were blessed with three children, Ken, Becky and Greg. They later divorced.
In 1968, Bob founded Reardon Office Equipment in Moorhead. It is still in existence today, owned by his son, Greg, and Tom Gourde.
Bob enjoyed gardening and spending time at The Fryn' Pan with his coffee friends. He spent his final days enjoying the company of family and friends, and was able to take a trip home to visit the garden and spend time in his backyard.
Bob died peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2014, after a courageous three-year battle with end stage renal disease, at Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead, at eighty-two years of age.
Bob is survived by his sons, Ken, Rio Rancho, NM, and Greg (Michelle Hughes), Moorhead; brother, Curtis (Evelyn) Reardon, Twin Valley; sisters, Donna (Bud) Sain, McConnellsburg, PA, Iva (Wayne) Schmidt, Fergus Falls, MN, Gloria (Douglas) Sandvold, Stillwater, OK, and June Carvell, Bismarck, ND; four nieces; four nephews; and numerous friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Rebecca, in 2003.
Visitation for Bob will begin at 10 AM, with a funeral at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Moorhead.
Burial will take place in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Twin Valley.
