Robert "Bob" W. Taylor

Robert W. Taylor, 93 of Moorhead, MN, died Monday, February 29, 2016, in Fergus Falls, MN.

Robert Taylor, the son of John and Gertrude Taylor, was born February 4, 1923, in Medora ND. He grew up in the Badlands, attended school there and eventually enlisted in the US Army in 1943, to proudly serve his country. Bob was deployed to the Philippines where he was assigned to the Signal Corps. This group was responsible for establishing communications for the Army, Navy and the Marines.

On June 20, 1949, Bob married Lucille Booke in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Dickinson ND. They made their home in Beach, ND, and Rugby, ND, before moving to Fargo, ND, in 1953. In 1955, they built a home in Moorhead, where they had lived for 55 years. In his later years, Bob was a resident of Touchmark in Fargo. Lucille preceded him in death on September 20, 2010. He lived in a nursing home in Fergus Falls the final three months of his life.

Bob is survived by six children, Debra (David) Greenagel, Parker, CO, Tom Taylor, Los Angeles, CA, Jeffrey (Laura) Taylor, Sevierville, TN, Cindy (Maurice) Skogen, Fergus Falls, Renee (David) Bowen, Loveland, CO, and Penny Taylor, Aurora, CO; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his four siblings, Donald, Vernon, Evelyn Wilkins, and Melvin; and a granddaughter, Sara Bowen.

Memorials are preferred to Fergus Falls Hospice House or The Alzheimer's Association.

Gathering of Friends: Friday, April 22, 2016, from 5 - 7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Memorial Mass: Saturday, April 23, 2016, at 1:00 PM, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moorhead.
