Robert A. Brault, 80, Moorhead, MN, passed away October 27, 2023 at Eventide on 8th in Moorhead.
Robert Arthur Brault was born June 16, 1943, to Arthur and Virginia (Stefanski) Brault, in Holyoke, Massachusetts. A heartfelt thank you to the staffs of Sanford Hospice and Eventide Nursing Home for their compassionate care given to Bob and his family.
Throughout his life, Bob had various careers/titles which included, boiler operator, stay at home Dad, taxidermist, home painter and maintenance. During his retirement years, Bob enjoyed driving school bus.
His hobbies included being a drummer in the band, “Night Train Express” for over 40 years. He also enjoyed fishing and shopping for that “special find” in an antique store or flea market. He enjoyed yard work and was a fantastic landscape artist, keeping his yard very pristine year after year.
Bob had an extraordinary love for animals. It was not uncommon for Bob to have a chipmunk, bird or squirrel eating out of his hands. Some of his four-legged friends over the years were, Igor, Creeper, Phantom, Tumbleweed, Toby, Oliver, Tweezer, Truckstop, and of course, the three legged, one eared stray, Mr. Kitty, who found a good friend in Bob.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Vickie; his children, Shonnie (Jason) Miller and Bobby (Hailey) Brault; step-children, Jeremy (Anna), Jamison, and Joshua (Sarah); step-grandchildren, Rob, Tom, Jacob, Christian, William, Alex, Jack, Owen, Lucas, Trenton, and Jordyn; and step-great-grandchildren, Aurora, Miley, Amelia, and Mary.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and half-brother, Kenny.
