Robert W. Palma

Robert W. Palma, 63, Moorhead, MN, went to be with his Savior on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Robert "Bob" William Palma was born on December 30, 1953, in Fargo, to Bill and Elizabeth Palma. Bob grew up and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1971. After high school, Bob attended and graduated from the University of Minnesota. He moved to Marshall, MN, where he met his wife, Mary.

Bob was joined in marriage to Mary Edmunds on May 9, 1981 in Marshall. Bob and Mary moved to Sioux Falls, SD, in 1986, and eventually returned to Moorhead in 1990. Bob has worked in many capacities over the years, but spent the last 21 years working for the State of North Dakota as a tax collector. Besides their own four children, Bob and Mary cared for 53 foster children over 15 years. Bob loved serving at his church, working as a chief election judge, travelling to spend time with grandkids, and researching RVs he planned to buy at retirement.

Bob is survived by his wife, Mary, of nearly 36 years; his children, Rebekah (Joseph) Groppel, Alton, IL, Joshua (Lindsay) Palma, Pana, IL, Rachel Palma, Ankeny, IA, and Faith Palma; five grandchildren, Fletcher, Sophia, Evelyn Groppel, and Anya and Leah Palma; sister, Luann (Del) Larson, Moorhead; and brother, Bruce (Lisa Miller) Palma, Bloomington, MN; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two babies during pregnancy.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2017, from 2 PM to 5 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. The funeral service will be Monday, April 3, 2017, at 11 AM in Brookdale Baptist Church, Moorhead.
