Roberto Garcia

Roberto A. Garcia was born May 20, 1941, in Kingsville, TX, to Felipe and Juanita (Azuara) Garcia.  Roberto was raised in Kingsville where he graduated from high school.

Roberto served in the US Air force and then for the United States Postal Service in Houston, TX, for twenty-five years.  Roberto married Margot Zamora on November 25, 1965, in Asherton, TX.  They made their home in Moorhead, MN, where he worked for the Moorhead Public Schools, as a para-professional, for twenty-two years.

Roberto passed away, Friday, October 13, 2023, in his Moorhead home under the care of his family, at eighty-two years of age.

His passion was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Roberto is survived by his wife, Margot; children, Eva Garcia, and Rogerio “Roger” Garcia; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; sister, Eva Vega; in-laws, Ted Milz, Mary Garcia, Wendy Garcia, and Samuel Garcia; and many loved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Felipe and Juanita Garcia; children, Robert “Rudy” Garcia, and Veronica “Ronnie” Garcia; grandchildren, Robert “Robbie” Charles Garcia, and Megan Noel Garcia Ochoa; and siblings, Felipe Garcia, Adan Garcia, Emma Hendley, and Norma Trevino.

Private family services for Roberto will be held.
