Roger D. Jenson

Roger D. Jenson, 73, Moorhead, MN, died Friday, March 24, 2023, in Eventide on 8^th, Moorhead.

Roger Dale Jenson was born April 17, 1949 in Detroit Lakes, MN, to Hank and Hellen (Riebe) Jenson.   He was raised and educated in Dilworth, MN.  At a young age, he demonstrated a love for cars.   He soon became a self-taught mechanic, working on all makes and models throughout the years.   If a vehicle had an issue, Roger was the guy to solve it.   For several years, Roger worked for Champion Auto Store in Dilworth and later was employed with Goodyear in Moorhead. 

During his spare time, Roger enjoyed spending the day on the lake fishing with his son, Tim.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his brothers.  Roger and Tim would often drive the countryside looking for cars to rebuild.  At home, you could find Roger watching a car building show or reading Popular Mechanics.   

He will be remembered and missed by his son, Tim Jenson of Felton, MN; one daughter, Christy Jenson of Princeton, MN; three grandchildren, Dillion, Alicia, and Aubrey; and three sisters, Barb Jenson, Becky (Kevin) Jocoby, and Lois Merkle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Steven Jenson; grandson, Austin Jenson; two brothers, Terry Jenson and David Jenson; and brother-in-law, Kurt Merkle.

Funeral service for Roger will be held Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 11am in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service of Moorhead.  Visitation will be one hour prior to his service.
