Ronald S. Meier Jr., age 26, of New Ulm, MN, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, in Royalton, MN.
Ronald was born August 28, 1984, in Poplar, MT. He moved to Minot, ND, and later to Moorhead, MN, where he grew up and graduated from high school in 2003. As a young man, he worked at M & H in Moorhead, and at the Golden Living Center, Moorhead.
Ronald served his country in the Minnesota National Guard. He served two tours of duty in recent years in Iraq, and was currently serving at Fort Ripley, near Little Falls, MN.
Ronald is survived by a son, Landon; his father, Ronald (Suzanne) Meier Sr., Moorhead; mother, Rhonda Meier, Portland, OR; sisters, Rena (Enrique) Morales, Fargo, ND, and Rachael Meier, Portland, OR; and stepsisters, Jessamay Thompson, Shoreview, MN, and Sandra (Matthew) Stenerson, Minneapolis, MN.
Memorial service: Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at 2 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Inurnment: Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at 11 AM in the Minnesota State Veteran's Cemetery, Little Falls.
