Ronald S. Milligan

Ronald Sydney Milligan was born January 13, 1944, in Fargo, ND, to John and Pearl Milligan. Ron lived most of his life in the St. Paul, MN, area where he married Dorothy Peterson, and they raised their five children.

Ron was self-employed most of his life, doing roofing, painting, driving and bartending. In 1999, Ron moved back to the area and settled in Perley, MN, where he made his new home and married Gloria Fischer.

Ron died Friday, August 18, 2017, at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, surrounded by his family.

Ron leaves his children, Jody (Billy) Sannan, Walker, MN, John (Maxine) Milligan, Perley, Daniel (Carrie) Milligan, Newport, MN, Ronald (Pam) Milligan, St. Paul, and Troy Milligan, St. Paul; sixteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Lloyd (Ann) Manley, Moorhead, MN, Jack (Linda) Milligan, St. Paul, Peggy (Gary) Hopkins, Frazee, MN, Nicki Watson, Moorhead, and John (Kylene) Milligan, West Fargo, ND; also many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; sisters, Shirley Manley, Barbara Green; brother, James Milligan; and wife, Gloria Milligan.

A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, September 9, 2017, at 2 PM, at the American Legion, 303 - 30th Street North, Moorhead.
