Ronald V. Hanson, 73, of Moorhead, MN, died Wednesday, December 23, 2015, in his home.
Ronald Vernon Hanson was born June 18, 1942, the son of Vernon R. and Evelyn (Larson) Hanson, in Alexandria, MN. He married his high school sweetheart, Elizabeth M. Edenstrom, on January 9, 1962. To this union, two sons, Kent and Steven were born.
Ron worked for Stenerson Lumber Company, where he received a thorough education and training in the lumber business. He retired from Stenerson's after 42 years with the company.
He loved the sun and enjoyed time in Mexico and Arizona during the winter months.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Elizabeth; sons, Kent Ronald (Cari) Hanson, and Steven (Linda) Hanson; grandsons, Kenny and Erik; and sister, Janet (Terry) Amundson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Elmer Langren.
The family would like to thank Dr. Corey Teigen at Sanford who saved his life more than once.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Red River Valley or a charity of your choice.
A Gathering of Friends for Ronald will be one hour prior to his memorial service.
His Memorial Service will be Saturday, January 9, 2016, at 11:00 AM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
