Rose J. Becker, the daughter of Franz and Hedwig Becker, was born June 20, 1935, in Mahnomen, MN, where she grew up and received her education. As a young lady, she moved to Detroit Lakes, MN, where she was married to Clair "Curly" DePuy on November 17, 1957. Following their marriage, they lived in North Dakota and Montana.
In 1960, the couple moved to Moorhead, MN. Rose worked for 40 years at American Linen in Fargo, ND. Her husband, Curly, died in 1974. After his death Rose continued to live in Moorhead. She retired in 2001. She enjoyed traveling and attending family reunions. She also loved cats.
In January of 2009, Rose became a resident of Viking Manor, Ulen, MN, where she died Saturday, July 3, 2010, at the age of 75.
Rose is survived by five sisters, Helen Becker, Lena (Charles) Arnold, Clara (David) Bissell, Juliana Williams, and Regina Hannu; a brother, John (Laurene) Becker; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Becker and Sylvia Senger; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters; and four brothers.
