Rose Lindgren, 89, of Moorhead, MN, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024, in Lilac Homes, Dilworth, MN.

Rose Rezac was born July 11, 1934, the daughter of Michael and Barbara (Trimborn) Rezac, in Breckenridge, MN.  She was raised in Barnesville, MN, where she attended school before her family moved to Fargo.  In Fargo, Rose worked for her parents at the Rezac Boarding House, where she met her future husband, Richard Lindgren.

On February 4, 1952, Rose and Richard were united in marriage at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Fargo.  After their marriage, Rose lived with her family while Richard served in the U.S. Marine’s during the Korean Conflict.  After his discharge, Rose and Richard made their home in Fargo for a period of time before settling in Moorhead. In 1988, they moved to the McCann Addition, north of Moorhead, where they have lived throughout the years. In the fall of 2023, Rose moved to Lilac Homes in Dilworth, MN.

She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers, and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.

Rose was a devoted loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  Her family always came first, ensuring they were well provided for with a warm and welcoming home.  As a grandmother, Rose found immense joy in caring for her grandchildren and assisting them in any way she could.  She had a passion for decorating and gardening and spent countless hours tending to her flower beds during the summer months.  Additionally, she also took great pride staining and varnishing the wood projects crafted by Richard, which became treasured possessions within their family.

Rose will be deeply missed by her husband Richard of 72 years; children, Steve Lindgren, New Underwood, SD, Karen (Jeff) Baukol, Moorhead, and Lindy (Jim) Knapper, Ottertail, MN; son-in-law, John Baukol, Moorhead; grandchildren, Lacey (Kerry) Slaba, Seth (Jackie Jacobs) Lindgren, Nathan Baukol, Jeremy (Jenni) Baukol, Nikki (Jarrod) Williams, Desi (Cody) Muscha, Mandy (Matt) Mangel, Mike (Kristi) Baukol, Matt Baukol, Jared Knapper and Heath (Amanda) Knapper; great-grandchildren, Savannah and Cruz Slaba, Emma, Gunnar and Molly Baukol, Rylee and Reese Baukol, Samantha and Jaxon Mangel, Ryan and Kylie Baukol, and Kenzie, Sylis and Raylan Knapper; sisters, Lorraine Anderson and Betty Lou Leintz; brother, Bob (Peggy) Rezac; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved daughter, Teresa “Terry” Baukol; daughter-in-law, Cheryl “Charlie” Lindgren; and brother, Leonard Rezac.
