Rosella M. Grosz

Rosella “Sally” Grosz, passed away on July 15, 2023, in her home surrounded by her family two days before her 90th birthday.

Rosella Mae Lehr was born July 17, 1933, on a farm near Alfred, ND, to Fred and Bertha (Hochstetter) Lehr.  She was the youngest of eight children. 

Rosella met Richard Grosz at church in Jamestown, ND.  They were united in marriage on October 30, 1953, and moved to Moorhead, MN in 1954.  She was employed at JI Case until she and Richard had their first child, at which time she became a stay-at-home mom to care for her family.

Rosella was active at Calvary Baptist Church, serving in the roles of Sunday School teacher, choir member, and Deaconess.  She loved to bake and was known for her “Grandma sugar cookies.”

Her pride and joy were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and her days were filled with diligent prayer for each of them.

Rosella will be lovingly remembered by her family, Dennis (Danelle) Grosz of Sartell, MN, Mike (Michele) Grosz of Fargo, ND, and Nancy (Carl) Palmer of Moorhead, MN; her eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, whom she never stopped missing, as their love for each other was very strong.  She was also preceded by her parents; brothers, Ray, Harry, Art, and Melbert; and sisters, Pearl, Nora, and Dora.

Rosella’s family would like to express gratitude to Sanford Hospice for the exceptional care they provided during her final days.

Visitation for Rosella will be Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Korsmo Funeral and Cremation service from 5 pm until 7 pm.  Her funeral service will be Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 11 am in Calvary Church at Village Green, Moorhead.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service.  Rosella will be laid to rest next to her husband, Richard, at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Moorhead
