Roselyn J. Stai

Roselyn "Rose" Stai, age 101, of Moorhead, MN, died Monday, March 14, 2016, in Golden Living Center, Moorhead.

Roselyn Josephine Puhalla was the fifth child born to John and Anna (Andre) Puhalla on December 15, 1914, in Arcadia, WI. The family moved to Minnesota and later to Blanchard, ND, where she graduated from Blanchard High School.
She was united in marriage to Christ Stai on Sept. 27, 1935, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Hillsboro, ND. Two children were born of this union, Delores Ann and Rose Marlene. In 1942, they settled in Felton, MN, where they farmed and later moved to town. Rose worked many jobs including 31 years as a cook for the Felton School system. Her final move was to Moorhead, in 1977.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Rose Marlene LaRock, Moorhead; grandchildren, Kelly (Kim) Duenow, Glyndon, MN, Kristy (Greg) Erickson, Hawley, MN, Chad (Jeana) LaRock, Jacksonville, FL; Anthony LaRock, Sabin, MN, and Lynette (Bob) Feakes, Hawley; four great-grandchildren; three step- great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; sisters, Bobbie Eiken, Fargo, ND, and Florence Matson, Moorhead; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Delores; four sisters; two brothers and twin infant brothers; two sons-in-law; two grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.

The visitation will be Sunday, 5 PM to 7 PM, with prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Funeral mass will be Monday, March 21, 2016, at 10 AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moorhead.
