Roy O. Tennison

Roy Oliver Tennison was born February 5, 1928, in Mayville, ND, to Alfred and Julia (Huseby) Tennyson. Roy served in the US Navy during WWII.

Roy married Dorothy Lubenow on June 25, 1950, in Moorhead, MN, where they raised their family. He was the Service Manager at Acme Welding Supply in Fargo, ND. He later partnered with his sons, Jeffrey and Dannie, at A & R Services in Dilworth, MN.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman, and lived in the Minnesota lakes areas. Roy died Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead, at ninety-two years of age.

Roy is survived by his wife, Dorothy; sons, Jeffrey (Janet) Tennison, East Silent Lake, Dent, MN, and Dannie (Carolyn) Tennison, Nampa, ID; daughter, Julie (Dave) Doxey, Erickson Lake, Lake Park, MN; grandchildren, Damian (Michele) Tennison, Jessica (Dave) Baumgartner, Tara (Jason) Brash, Justin (Alyssa) Tennison, and Josh Doxey; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brothers, Lloyd and Don; and a sister, Dolly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Lawrence, Marian, Adrianne, Helen, Alfred, and Emery.

A private family service was held and Roy will be buried at Fargo National Cemetery on Friday, July 23, 2021, at 1 PM.
