Roy T. Jensen

Roy T. Jensen, 85, of Moorhead, MN, died on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, in River Pointe, Moorhead.

Roy Thomas Jensen was born September 15, 1932, the son of William and Mary (Windom) in Elbow Lake, MN. At age 11, he moved to Henning, MN, where he was raised and attended school. He then served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955.

Roy met Norma Jensen and they were married July 17, 1955. He then attended the North Dakota State School of Science for plumbing. The couple then made their home in Moorhead. Roy started his career with Moorhead Plumbing and Heating and then worked for various plumbing companies, retiring after 43 years.

Roy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He loved taking care of his tomatoes and roses in the summer time and was always busy doing something or "fixing things."

He was a longtime member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, a proud member of the Steam Fitters Union for 50 years and an active member of the American Legion and Eagles Club.

Roy is survived by his wife, Norma; daughters, Elaine (Steve) Clemenson, Durbin, ND, and Cindy (Steve) Mark, Dent, MN; sons, Jeff (Jackie) Jensen, and Brian (Kathy) Jensen, both Moorhead; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, Orville Jensen, Brainard, MN; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mildred Ladwig; and brothers, Ivan, William, James and Raymond.

A Visitation for Roy will be Thursday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a 6:30 PM Prayer Service in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

His Funeral Service will be Friday, December 8, 2017, 11:00 AM, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead.

Interment will be Friday, December 8, 2017, 3:00 PM, Trinity Cemetery, Henning, MN.
