Royal D. Heupel, 84, of Fargo, ND, formerly of Rogers, AR, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013, in Fargo. He was born November 26, 1929, in Eureka, SD to Julius and Ida (Guthmiller) Heupel. He and his wife were the former owners and operators of Marcel Royal Beauty Academy in Rogers. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Marcella Heupel.
Royal is survived by two sons, Craig (Pam) Heupel of Fargo, Ross Heupel of Frisco, TX; one daughter, Debbie (Duane) Brudvig of Bella Vista, AR; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, December 7, 2013, in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, AR, with Rev. Ben Rowell officiating. Burial will follow at Tuck's Chapel Cemetery in Rogers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Royal's memory may be directed to: Hospice of the Red River Valley, 1701 38th Street South, Suite 101, Fargo, ND 58103.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home & Crematory of Fayetteville.
