Ruby E. Wiger, 83, Fargo, ND, died Monday, July 5, 2010, in the MeritCare Palliative Care Unit, Fargo.
Ruby Elaine Harveland was born June 18, 1927, to Nils and Alma (Mathison) Harveland in Hampden, ND, where she grew up. Ruby graduated from high school and then attended Business College in Fargo.
On December 14, 1946, Ruby married Willis W. Wiger in Fargo. They farmed in Hillsboro, ND, then moved to Fargo in 1962 where Ruby worked as an executive secretary for the VA Hospital until her retirement.
Willis died on January 19, 2010, and Ruby continued to make her home in Fargo.
Ruby liked to fish and in her later years, she enjoyed quilting. She loved traveling and visiting her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Larry (Lori) Wiger, Fargo, Willis (Arla) Wiger Jr., Anderson, IN, Bryan (Nancy) Wiger, Plainfield, IN, Joyce (Gary) Olsen, Morongo Valley, CA, Pamela (Norm) Adams, Palm Coast, FL, and Denis (LeAnne) Wiger, Danville, IN; th
Memorials may be given to Hospice of the Red River Valley, the Diabetes Association, and Hope Lutheran Church, North Campus.
Visitation: Friday from 5 - 7 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN.
Memorial Service: Saturday, July 10, 2010, at 1 PM in Hope Lutheran Church, North Campus, Fargo.
