Sandra "Sandie" A. McMaines, 57, Barnesville, MN, died Friday, August 26, 2011, in the Sanford Health Palliative Care Unit, Fargo, ND.
Sandie Ann Baelz was born March 8, 1954, in Moorhead, MN, to John and Dorothy (Fiedler) Baelz. She was raised in Fargo where she graduated from Fargo South High School in 1972. After school she worked for Foss Drug in Moorhead and Dakota Photographics in Fargo. On July 17, 1976, Sandie married Jeff McMaines in Fargo. They had two children and Sandie stayed home to raise them.
In the early 1990's Sandie began working as a Para-professional with the Moorhead Public School system. She was currently working at Ellen Hopkins Public School in Moorhead.
Sandie loved to train and show her dogs. Family was also important to her and she shared her love of training dogs with her husband and children.
Sandie is survived by her husband, Jeff; a son, Ryan McMaines; a daughter, Mackenzie (Daryl Hall) McMaines; two grandchildren, Diajlon and Darian; a sister, Donna (Jim) Carlson; two brothers, Tom (Donna) Seaburg and Charles (Brenda) Seaburg; and her mother and father-in-law, Lee and Catherine McMaines.
Sandie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ricky Baelz.
