Sandra Thomson

Sandra Leigh Bourland Thomson, Age 78, passed peacefully in her home in Saddle Brook, Tucson, AZ, beside her loving husband, Terry Thomson on October 19, 2023, at 10:30 AM.

Sandy was born October 9, 1945, and was raised in Bonita, CA, by Patricia and Carl Bandelin. She grew up riding horses bareback, reading and helping with her 3 brothers. Sandy raised her two daughters, Kristin Roehmer and Trisha Bourland between Villa Park, CA, and Las Vegas, NV. Las Vegas is where Sandy met her loving and devoted husband of 21 years. They shared many memories enjoying family, friends and traveling between their homes in West Yellowstone, MT, Las Vegas, and Tucson.

Sandy was a gentle, kind and caring woman that always put others before herself. She loved to cook delicious and nourishing meals to share and enjoy. After Denver College, she followed her love of travel working as a United Airlines flight attendant.  She then continued her love of the travel industry working as a travel agent.

For nearly 20 years, she enjoyed a successful real estate career in Las Vegas, where she met her “Sweetie”, Terry. They married in 2002 and shared a true and deep love and affection for one another. When Sandy was not raising her girls, working, or creating memories with Terry, she made one-of-a-kind hand-knit and crotched blankets and keepsakes for new babies and friends and needlepoint memorabilia. Sandy was an avid reader, loved to play cards, mahjong and spend time with family and friends. Sandy will be deeply missed by all.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Terry; daughters, Kristin (Marcus) Roehmer, Julie Thomson, and Trisha Bourland; son, Scott Thomson; grandchildren, Enzo Roehmer, Cody Roehmer, and Anthony Thomson; great-grandchildren, Charlotte, and Olivia Thomson; and sisters-in-law, Vicki (Wayne) Peck, Marie Thomson, and Gayla Bandelin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her three brothers, Steve, Mike and Carl Bandelin.

A Life Celebration service for Sandy will be Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 1 PM, in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service, Moorhead.  Burial will take place in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead.
