Sean Anthony Brooke, 21, Moorhead, MN, died Sun., July 3rd 2005, as a result of a motor vehicle accident on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii.
Sean was born on September 14th 1983 in Heidelberg, Germany, to Darren and Lauri (Emerson) Brooke. Sean enjoyed participating in sports, skin diving, the beach and being in the company of family and friends. He graduated from Ridgeview High School in Columbia, SC in 2001, and enlisted in the Army in May 2002.
He attended basic training at FT. Jackson, SC, and Advanced Individual Training at FT. Sam Houston, TX. There he became a combat medic and was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division in Oahu, Hawaii. In January 2004 Sean began a 14-month tour of duty in Iraq where he treated both fellow soldiers and the Iraqi people.
Sean is survived by his mother and father, Lauri and Darren Brooke; a sister Christine, and a brother, Parker, all of Detroit Lakes, MN. Sean is also survived by his grandparents, Lloyd and Louise Emerson of Moorhead, and Roger and Ruth Brooke of West End, NC. Sean has many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and surviving friends that will miss him and love him very, very much.
Visitation for Sean will be Wednesday, July 13, 2005, from 7 - 9 PM, in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead. A Memorial Mass will be at the church Thursday, July 14, 2005, at 11 AM
