Shirley Berg

Shirley Ruth Froemke was born July 4, 1928, in Aberdeen, SD. She was raised in Valley City, ND, where she graduated from high school and Valley City State College.

Shirley married Arden E. Berg on December 25, 1949, in Valley City. She lived in a number of towns due to Arden's employment until they moved to Moorhead, MN in 1963 where she taught music in the Moorhead Public School System.

Arden and Shirley moved to Fargo, ND, in 1986, and Arden died November 21, 1987. Shirley continued to make her home in Fargo. She died Wednesday, January 28, 2015, in her home, at eighty-six years of age.

Shirley is survived by her five sons, Cameron Berg, Las Vegas, NV, Thomas Berg, David (Mary Beth) Berg, and Steven (Patricia) Berg, all of Minneapolis, MN, and Douglas (Kathleen) Berg, Enola, PA; seven grandchildren; and two sisters, Joan (Al) Mason, Cape Girardeau, MO; and Rosemary Moen, Turlock, CA.

The family requests memorials to the donor's choice.

Visitation will begin at 1 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2 PM, Sunday, February 1, 2015, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
