Sonja M. Eggmann

Sonja Marie Dahl was born September 14, 1939, in Roseau, MN, to Walter and Gerda (Urness) Dahl. The family lived in Devils Lake, ND, for a time before moving to Grand Forks, ND, where she graduated from high school in 1957.
She furthered her education at the University of North Dakota, with a degree in education. Sonja married John Eggmann, in 1961, in Grand Forks. She taught in Crookston, MN, where they made their home. They lived in Bemidji, MN, before moving to Fargo, ND. She did substitute teaching in the Fargo school system from 1973 to 1986.
They moved to Bismarck, ND, in 1986, where Sonja taught at Hughes Junior High and Horizon Middle School. John died on November 7, 2004, and Sonja moved to Kindred, ND, in 2006, to be closer to her family.
Sonja had resided for the past year at Ecumen Evergreens, Moorhead, MN, where she died peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at seventy-five years of age.
Sonja is survived by her son, Jim (Kathy) Eggmann, Kindred; grandson, Nick; and a brother, Odin (Sandra) Dahl, Fargo.
In addition to her husband, Sonja was preceded in death by two children, Paul and Kathy.
Visitation will begin at 10 AM, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 AM, on Friday, November 14, 2014, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
