Stella E. Larson, 81, Moorhead, MN, died in her home on Thursday, March 22, 2007, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Stella Edith Mosher, daughter of William and Florence (Hamlin) Mosher, was born April 23, 1925, in rural Wadena, MN, where she grew up and received her early education.
In the early 1940's, Stella moved to Moorhead, where she married Melvin Larson in 1944. The couple farmed in rural Averill, MN, until making their home in Moorhead in 1957.
Melvin died in 1996, and Stella continued to make her home in Moorhead. She enjoyed the Moorhead Senior Citizens Center, shopping and loved to play Bingo. She was also a long time member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Stella is survived by four sons, Loren (Judy) Moorhead, James (Sharee), Georgetown, MN, Marvin, Minneapolis, MN, and Bill, Sioux Falls, SD; one sister, Vera Polinski, Sebeka, MN; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild.
In addition to her husband Melvin, Stella was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Eugene; one daughter, Eileen; and one grandson, Jason.
