Stella Stephens

Stella Marie Qualley was born April 10, 1916, at Verona, ND, to Oscar and Hazel (Carel) Qualley. She was raised in Verona where she graduated from high school in 1937.
Stella married Roy M. Stephens, Nov. 23, 1946, in Moorhead, MN, and they made their home in Fargo, ND. They eventually moved to New Horizons Manor, in Fargo. Roy died Aug. 10, 1984.
Stella was a member of First Lutheran Church, Fargo, for twenty-eight years. She was an honorary member of Debra Circle for twenty-seven of those years.
Stella died Saturday, April 28, 2007, in Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo, at ninety-one years of age.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Lenore Stephens, Moorhead; three half-sisters, Joan Salzsieder, LaVelle Dick, and Doreen Else; a niece, Kim (Jeff) Nichols; and two nephews, Keith and Kevin Stephens
Stella was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, one brother, and a special friend Clarence "Kelly" Evenson.
Visitation will be one hour before the funeral.
Her funeral will be Thursday, May 3, 2007, at 1 PM, in First Lutheran Church, Fargo.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
