Stephanie Louise Adams was born to Burt and Anita Adams on December 11, 1948, in Bemidji, MN.
In 1952, they moved to Las Vegas, NV, where Stephanie attended specialized schooling. Stephanie and her parents returned back to Minnesota in 1974. In 1980, Stephanie moved into the Clay County Residence in Moorhead. She held numerous job positions at various locations including the Fargo Rax, Moorhead Target, Fargo Ground Round, Moorhead Salvation Army, Rodeway Inn, Daily Discoveries Learning Center, Coaches Sports Bar, and Swanson's Health Products.
Stephanie's hobbies included caring for her baby dolls, latch hooking, coloring, scrap booking, Special Olympics, softball, visiting the zoo, special outings with her group home family, sorting and shredding, and listening to the Beach Boys.
Stephanie died on Monday, March 24, 2008, at her home in Moorhead under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. She was 59 years old. Stephanie leaves behind numerous dedicated caregivers, loving group home family members, eight cousins, and her uncle Jerome.
Stephanie's gentle temperament and sweet smile has left a lasting impression in the hearts of those she touched in so many ways. She will be dearly missed.
The Funeral Service for Stephanie will be on Thursday, March 27, 2008, at 5 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in the Spring at Riverside Cemetery, Glyndon, MN, by her parents.
