Sue Ann Barnhart, 54, of Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, June 8, 2005, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, as the result of a pedestrian-auto accident.
Sue Ann Gunhus, the daughter of Wallace and Edna (Thompson) Gunhus, was born April 27, 1951, in Grafton, ND. As a very young child, she moved with her family to Park River, ND, where she grew up and received her education. Sue graduated from high school in Park River in 1969, and from UND, Grand Forks, ND, in 1973.
Following her graduation from UND, she moved to Fargo, ND, and began work at St. Luke's Hospital, now MeritCare, as a registered nurse. She worked for MeritCare for 32 years, most recently in their new facility on South University Drive.
On December 27, 1979, Sue was united in marriage to Tom Barnhart in Hoople, ND. Following their marriage, they made their home in Fargo.
Sue is survived by her husband, Tom; a son, Andrew, Fargo; two daughters, Jessica, Wheaton, IL, and Laura, Fargo; her parents, Edna and Wallace Gunhus, Moorhead, MN; three sisters, Judy (Art) Knudson, West Fargo, ND, Joan (Craig) Walstad, Longmont, CO, and Janet (Khalifa) Al-Rayes, Doha, Qatar; and two brothers, Don (Cathy) Gunhus, Fargo, and Bob (Janet) Gunhus, Longmont.

Burial: Saturday at 3:30 PM in
