Born on July 3, 1943, to Terry D. Loe Sr. and Thelma Louise Loe in Eugene, OR, Terry Davis Loe Jr. began his journey through life. Terry was one of 5 children who all grew up around the many western states.
In 1961, Terry joined the United States Air Force.
Terry Loe and Carol Hearn were married on February 15, 1964 in Wyoming, Delaware.
Terry's Air Force career took him all over the world, from Taiwan, Vietnam, and Japan to Pakistan, Germany, and Greenland. With each new assignment, Terry would share a little of his life with the people he met along the way.
Terry became a black belt in karate and was very involved with softball having played, and coached from his teens until 2008.
Terry and Carol have been blessed with 3 children, Vera, David, and Wendell.
After his retirement from the Air Force in 1982, Terry continued his education by attending Ft. Valley State College while they lived in Warner Robbins, Georgia where he earned his degree in Health and Physical Education.
In the Fargo area, he took up truck driving, teaching, and working for the Fargo Park District.
Terry was very proud of his Air Force career and was a member of the local VFW and Disabled American Veterans.
Terry was a victim of diabetes and Hodgkin's Lymphoma, and although he could take down any opponent in the ring, he lost his battle with these foes on the early hours of the morning on Tuesday, March 24, 2009, after sharing a short 65 years of his life with the rest of us.
Terry is survived by his wife Carol; daughter, Vera; son, David; and son, Wendell
Vera and husband, Brent Rollins, live with grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher, and Jennifer in Tacoma, WA; Priscilla resides in West Fargo with father, Bob Poppen; Crystal resides in Appleton, WI; Jennifer and Jeremiah Frisinger and great-grandchildren,
David and wife, Jody Loe, live with grandchild, Chandler in Breckenridge, MN. Chad lives in Fargo; Casey lives in Mobridge, SD; Tyler lives in Breckenridge; Raychel lives in Breckenridge.
Wendell and wife, Jean Loe, live with grandchildren, Austin, and Ashton in Fargo.
Terry is preceded by his parents; three grandchildren, David, Carter, and Emma; a sister, Judy; and brother, Gene.
The Funeral Service for Terry will be on March 30, 2009 at 2 PM in Fargo Seventh-day Adventist Church, Fargo.
The Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Fargo on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at 2 PM.
